03 / OUR STORY

Built to work hard, all day long

Workhorse started in 2019 with a stubborn idea: that one well-run room could serve a neighborhood from the first commuter to the last nightcap — without ever feeling like three different businesses bolted together.

Founders Dana Okafor and Marcus Reyes came up through Indianapolis kitchens and coffee bars. They built Workhorse around the discipline of a service line: clean handoffs, honest sourcing, and a team that takes pride in the unglamorous craft of doing the same things well, every single day.
