"We built the cafe we wanted to wake up for."
Persimmon started as a market stall at the South of the James lot. Two line cooks, one griddle, and a stubborn belief that brunch should feel like the best part of someone's week — unhurried, generous, and bright. In 2024 we found our corner on West Cary, painted it the color of a ripe persimmon, and never looked back.
One block from the Byrd Theatre, with street parking and the Cary Street lot just behind us.
